Meet our Pastors
| Pastor Marsha Garrett came to St. Andrew
in July of 2003. A native Texan, she brings her sense of hospitality and
an “open door” to our church in the North Country.
Pastor Marsha is a graduate of Texas A&M
University and the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Prior
to coming to St. Andrew, she interned in Baltimore, Maryland where she
started a community children’s choir that provided after school care and
that sang for worship and other organizations in the area. She will soon
complete her Master of Sacred Theology degree from the Lutheran
Theological Seminary in Philadelphia in the combined fields of Worship
and Pastoral Care.
A musician and singer, Pastor Marsha’s
greatest love is leading the church in worship. She strives to make
every worship service a special one, incorporating hymns, old and new,
in an effort to make the worship experience broad enough in musical
style that people of all ages will find something meaningful. |

Prior to entering the ordained ministry
of word and sacrament, Pastor Marsha was a university office manager and
was the director of children’s and handbell choirs in her home
congregation.

Pastor Richard Rieger was the
mission developer of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. He has served as
pastor from 1991 - 1994 and as interim pastor in 1996. Pastor
Rieger is a graduate of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago
and has served congregations in Fort Plain, Schenectady, and
Rochester. |
